Financial Tracking and Accounting Operations
📍 Sherbrooke (QC) – Hybrid
ABOUT THE POSITION
At DistriQ, the management of financial resources directly supports internal activities, projects, as well as relations with clients and partners. We are looking for a rigorous, organized person who is comfortable with numbers to support our finance team as an accounting clerk.
You like working in a structured environment, you have a good sense of priorities, and you appreciate a job well done. In this role, you will ensure rigorous monitoring of accounting operations and contribute to the reliable and continuous management of financial resources.
As an accounting clerk, you will contribute to the smooth daily operations of the organization by supporting bookkeeping activities, transaction tracking, and various financial processes. This is a key role within the company, offering you a great opportunity to grow in a function essential to the organization's stability.
YOUR ROLE
You will contribute to daily accounting operations by ensuring the processing of financial data and maintaining up-to-date accounting information.
You will work in connection with the finance management team to:
ensure the quality of financial information,
support the production of financial statements,
facilitate budget and administrative tracking.
Your role relies on rigor, consistency, and a good understanding of operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform data entry for supplier and client invoices
Participate in the processing of accounts payable and receivable
Ensure the filing and updating of accounting records
Provide administrative support to the accounting team
Respond to internal inquiries related to accounting
Maintain financial files up-to-date and well-structured
Other related tasks
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Interaction with internal teams as needed (projects, expenses, follow-ups),
Use of accounting and financial tracking tools (e.g., accounting software, Excel),
Contribution to a growing organization with multiple funding sources.
PROFILE SOUGHT
DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in accounting or equivalent training
1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role (an asset)
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
Knowledge of QuickBooks and Dext software (an asset)
Great rigor, sense of organization, and discretion
Ability to work precisely and meet deadlines
Good communication skills in French (oral and written)
