Distriq and iXcampus partner to promote the emergence and success of local and international initiatives.

In a context of intensified international competition and the emergence of quantum technology in various discussion forums, Distriq and iXcampus sought to consolidate a strategy around three objectives: the search for market opportunities for French and Canadian companies, attracting talent, and technological complementarity and growth strategy.
The two partners agreed to carry out joint actions and projects, including: organizing events with players in the quantum field to identify technological bottlenecks and the emergence of new technological actors; creating a joint entrepreneurial support program in the quantum field and establishing an international award at the conclusion of the program; providing technical platforms and resident entrepreneurs as part of the joint program; and creating a program for executive and continuous training on innovation and quantum technology.
Clara Doly-Tacconi, director of development and partnerships, is pleased with this agreement: “The complementarity of our two ecosystems is clear. It will allow us to consolidate an operational development axis, to bring forth technological gems and talents. Our joint actions will contribute to the prominence of our two regions in the race for quantum technologies.”
“This partnership with IXcampus allows us to create a real and undeniable impact on our respective ecosystems while creating distinctive value,” emphasizes Richard St-Pierre, general director of DistriQ, quantum innovation zone.
ABOUT iXcampus
iXcampus develops and operates hybrid campuses, both technological and academic, at the crossroads of companies, start-ups, and higher education and research in France. The first campus of 20,000 m2 is located in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, west of Paris, and has been labeled an Industry Territory and a Great Place of Innovation by the Île-de-France Region since 2019. This campus hosts a very high-tech company Exail, an incubator with about fifteen innovative companies, a DeepTech incubator (in the fields of optics/photonics, microelectronics, quantum, and AI), and two university programs in data science and design. The campus will double in size (40,000 m2) in 2025, becoming one of the largest concentrations of deeptech in France with 1,000 students and 1,000 technicians, engineers, and researchers.
